The orchestra’s musicians—including full-time professional musicians, passionate community members, and select high school students—tackle challenging repertoire.

Our Youth Concerto Competition Winner, who performed with the MSO in January 2024, was supported by the Arts Midwest GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Ticket sales only cover a third of our costs. Foundations help, too, but they insist on
matching community support.

INCLUSION STATEMENT
The MSO is working to become a more inclusive and equitable space for people interested in classical music. Everyone deserves access to the performing arts regardless of age, ability, race, ethnicity, economic status, sexual orientation, and gender. Our program includes value-based ticket pricing, wheelchair-accessible rehearsal and performance spaces, and a staff happy to work with audiences to meet musicians' and audiences' individual physical, learning, and social needs.
